Today, frames are made from varied materials, using tried and true methods as well as newer, faster and more economical techniques. So what’s unique about ToyShades frames?

ToyShades Design

Throughout the design process we were thinking of YOU. We have updated shapes that have individual histories and created contemporary designs, combining this ingeniously crafted new range with our own trademarked PENTOPTIC® lenses. Quality is in our DNA.

Materials & Assembly

The majority of our frames are made with lightweight, injection-moulded plastic - comfortable for wearing all-day without leaving nosebridge marks. Using injection moulded plastic rather than acetate has a number of benefits. The frames are more environmentally friendly due to less waste at the production stages and far more precise in their revolutionary design. ToyShades® frames are crafted on one of the finest production lines. Each frame is then hand-finished in the UK before being inspected by the ToyShades® team and shipped directly to your doorstep.

Lenses

Our trademarked PENTOPTIC® lenses are rigorously tested to the highest standards. ToyShades’ PENTOPTIC® lenses are UV400, which means they filter out 99 - 100% of UVA and UVB light. Our entire range of sunglasses are fitted with our very own polarized lenses which are made of five layers of high quality polycarbonate to offer your eyes multilayer protection. You can rest assured that all our lenses meet or exceed the world’s toughest safety standards and offer your eyes the highest protection from harmful rays.

 

Comfort and Clarity

The natural tendency to squint in bright conditions can lead to tension, eyestrain, and headaches. Our lenses also increase vision clarity by reducing the intense reflected rays that can obstruct your vision when driving, skiing, or hitting the beach.

Increased UV Protection

Wearing sunglasses causes your pupils to dilate reflexively in order to let more light into your eyes.
